Living in Escaldes, the 2nd “capital” of Andorra
The parish of Escaldes-Engordany is the second one with the largest population after Andorra la Vella. It is formed by two important urban centers that were separated and well differentiated in their origins: Les Escaldes (oriented more to tourism) and Engordany (agricultural in its origins and currently residential).
In Escaldes a source of thermal water springs at 70º in Roc del metge. It is used as hot water in many buildings in Escaldes.
In Escaldes there is a charismatic building of the French architect Jean-Michel Ruols that rises as emerged from the Earth itself: the largest thermoludic center in Europe, Caldea INÚU.
